One of the most popular tourist attractions in the surrounding area is the historic city of Eureka Springs which is in conveniently located within easy access of all the main routes including the U.S. Highway 62 from the East and West plus State Highway 23 from North and South directions. This city has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was reinstated on this list more recently as Nationally Significant in 2004. Here many tourists come to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, biking, paddle boats, swimming, fishing, bird watching and mountain biking, with a multitude of natural walking trails to follow in and around the town. To explore the town itself – which has a rather unusual street system – the city has a great public transport system with extensive routes around it however many tourists opt for one of the narrated tram tours to navigate the streets and get a feel for the city and its history.

Hot Springs is another ‘spa city’ in the state of Arkansas that is accessible from Centerton in Benton County and the Hot Springs National Park is also popular with tourists to the area. The park contains a range of springs that produce naturally heated waters for bathers and the original Fordyce Bathhouse that is situated on the renowned Bathhouse Row also functions as a visitor’s center for the park. Hot Springs itself is the birthplace of former U.S president Bill Clinton and other attractions in and around the city include Thoroughbred Racing at Oaklawn Park, Magic Springs Theme Park, Crystal Falls Water Park and The Gangster Museum of America.
